Royal Canin Urinary SO dry food is designed to nutritionally support urinary tract and bladder health in adult dogs. It increases urine production to help dilute excess minerals that can lead to crystals and stones. The appropriate calorie content (11% lower than Royal Canin Urinary SO dry food) helps maintain a healthy weight. The Relative Supersaturation (RSS) method is used to help reduce ion concentrations in urine, which can help reduce stone formation.
This formula promotes a urinary environment that is unfavorable for the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. For some dogs, urinary tract problems can be a recurring issue. Dissolved struvite
Urinary S/O can effectively dissolve struvite crystals and stones in dogs. In addition, struvite is often associated with bacteria, and acidic urine is not an ideal environment for bacterial growth.
