The Ownat grain-free dry food line is a nutritional alternative that mimics the diet of a dog or cat living in complete freedom in nature, where their bodies are already primed to follow it. Dogs and cats' digestive systems cannot digest uncooked grains. While they can digest cooked grains, this can also be a source of food allergies and intolerances, which is why we completely eliminate grains from our grain-free formulas. The high proportion of animal-derived ingredients and fresh meats provide higher levels of biologically valuable protein, which provides essential amino acids, which are crucial for normal development and function.

The high level of animal-derived ingredients allows us to create lower carbohydrate recipes. We use, for example, legumes and tubers as alternatives to cereals for carbohydrate sources.
