Because D-Mannose is absorbed eight times slower than glucose, it is not converted to glycogen or stored in the liver. Instead, unabsorbed D-Mannose passes directly from the kidneys to the bloodstream of the bladder, removing 80-90% of bacteria associated with urinary tract infections. UT Strength Feline also contains N-acetyl glucosamine, an important component in the body's production of glycoproteins, thereby increasing urinary tract protection against acid and bacteria.
