Why fresh cuts of meat (intact muscle, bone, cartilage and skin)? Because, apart from egg protein, fresh meat is the most digestible protein for dogs and cats. These are proteins with high biological value, containing essential amino acids necessary for the normal development and function of the dog and cat body. When the body uses a higher percentage of nutrients, less waste is produced, thus reducing the volume of the stool. In simple terms, we can say that a medium-sized adult dog in maintenance state needs at least 3 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight to maintain, and a cat needs 5 grams of protein to maintain. The health of dogs and cats can tolerate extremely high amounts of protein in their diet without harming their bodies.
