VetLife's low-fat formula dog food is designed for dogs with chronic enteropathy (CE) and protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). It uses hydrolyzed fish protein and a low-fat formula to help improve absorption disorders, indigestion, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency and other problems, and enhance intestinal health and nutrient absorption.
Features
- Single source of hydrolyzed fish protein: reduces the risk of food allergic reactions and facilitates absorption in sensitive stomachs.
- Low-fat formula: The main fat comes from fish oil, which effectively manages fat absorption difficulties and intestinal lymphangiectasia.
- Limited ingredient design: carefully selected raw materials and reduced allergens help dogs with food-responsive enteropathy (FRE) recover.
- Fortified with folic acid and vitamin B12 (cobalamin): Improves vitamin deficiency caused by intestinal malabsorption and supports cell repair and immune function.
- Highly digestible starch source: Uses refined rice starch to improve energy utilization.
- Added prebiotics (FOS and MOS) and curcumin: help adjust intestinal flora and inhibit intestinal inflammation.
- Electrolyte and vitamin integration: maintains intestinal and overall physiological balance and helps recovery.
Applicable subjects (indications)
Chronic Enteropathy (CE)
Protein-losing enteropathy (PLE)
Intestinal malabsorption (eg, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal lymphatic dilatation)
Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI)
Nutritional support during recovery after surgery or illness for indigestion, chronic or acute diarrhea
Feeding Guide (Suggested Usage)
It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use, especially in dogs with PLE or other intestinal related diseases.
The recommended initial feeding period is 2 to 12 weeks, adjusted based on clinical response and veterinarian's instructions.
It can be used as a single nutritional treatment (monotherapy). Clinical studies have shown that it has a significant improvement effect on non-PLE and partial PLE dogs.
During long-term use, regular monitoring of serum cobalamin and folate levels is recommended to ensure adequate nutritional status.
